With CalDAV you can store your calendars on Runbox’ servers using calendar apps on your computer or smart phone.

To use Runbox CalDAV, set up a new account in your Calendar client with your Runbox username and password and dav.runbox.com as Server Address.

Note: It is currently not possible to share calendars with other people, or publish them publicly.

Below you will find setup instructions for recommended calendar clients.

macOS Calendar

  1. Go to Calendar > Add Account… > Add CalDAV Account…
  2. Select Account Type: Manual
  3. Username: Enter your Runbox username.
    • If you use your own domain name, the username format is you@domainyouown.tld.
  4. Password: Enter your Runbox password
  5. Server Address: Enter https://dav.runbox.com/
    • Note: Include the trailing slash.

Note: If you are using Two Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Runbox account you will need to use App Passwords for the CalDAV service.

Usage notes

  • Click View > Refresh Calendars to see changes made on the server by other clients, including alerts.

Thunderbird

  1. Go to the Calendar tab
  2. Click New Calendar
  3. Choose On the Network
  4. Enter your username
  5. Enter dav.runbox.com as the Location
  6. Click Find Calendars
  7. You will be asked for your password.
  8. Once you enter the password a screen will appear showing the calendars you can subscrive to. Choose the ones you want and click Subscribe.
  9. You will be taken back to the calendar tab and your calendars will begin to populate with any existing events

Outlook

To extend Outlook with CalDAV functionality you can use the Outlook CalDav Synchronizer plugin. Please follow the instructions there to install and set up the plugin.

You will need the following information when setting it up:

  • Username: Enter your Runbox username.
    • If you use your own domain name, the username format is you@domainyouown.tld.
  • Password: Enter your Runbox password.
  • Server Address: Enter https://dav.runbox.com/
