Contacts lets you store the personal information of your contacts, making their names and email addresses are available in Compose.

The Contacts screen consists of two main parts: the Groups list to the left, and the Contact list in the main section to the right.

Contacts menu

Email

To send email to one or more contacts, either click the contact’s email address or check the checkboxes corresponding to the desired contacts and click the Email menu button.

You can also use the Groups/Nicknames select box directly from the Compose page to email contacts.

Delete

Check the boxes corresponding to the desired contacts and click the “Delete” menu option to permanently delete them.

Remove from Group

This option is only available after having selected a Group in the left pane, and lets you remove a contact from a group it belongs to (without deleting the contact itself).

Add

Contacts can be added quickly using the fields at the bottom of the contacts list, which are easily accessible by clicking the Add menu option.

Add (extensive)

This option will open a new window allowing you to enter more extensive information for a contact.

Extract

The Extract function adds all the email addresses found in the messages in your Sent folder to a separate Group. This is a quick and easy way to populate your contact list.

Import

Imports contact information from a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file on your computer. To use this function you first need to export your contacts from the email client or service you have been using (such as Outlook, Eudora, Yahoo!, etc) to a CSV file and save it on your computer.

Export

Export all the contacts in Contacts to a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file so that they can be imported into another service or email client.

If a Group has been selected, this menu option will be named Export group and only exports the contacts in the current group.

Sort

Sort contacts by any column by clicking the corresponding header.

Index

Access your contacts by the nicknames’ first letter using the alphabet menu options to the right of the Contacts menu.

Search

Easily find contacts by using the search function at the bottom of the screen.

Edit contact

Clicking a nickname will open a new window where you can edit all stored information on a contact.

Groups

You can create, rename, and delete contact groups in the Groups pane to the left of the screen.

To add a contact to a group, simply click the nickname, drag it towards the Groups area, and drop it over a group name.

You can also add or remove a contact from a group in the contact’s properties screen which is available after clicking the contact’s nickname in the list.

Group properties

After clicking a group in the Group list, its properties will appear in the bottom of the Groups area. Click the “[Group] properties” link to add or edit group information.
