After using a email client to download messages via POP, the messages disappear from the server. How do I avoid this?

How can I download mail via POP from other folders than the Inbox?

To POP from a specific folder only, create a new account in your mail client with the regular Runbox POP settings – only set your username in your email client like this: username%runbox.com%folder – for example: username%runbox.com%Sent.

My email client times out when polling Runbox for messages. How do I avoid this?

Many email clients have a default polling interval of 10 minutes, but if your client is set to poll more frequently than this the server might not be able to feed the folder information to the client before the next request. We recommend a interval of 10 minutes or more to avoid such timeouts.

What are your server details for setting up an email client?
